"Elkhart ISD has utilized Cecil Newton’s expertise of athletic fields over the past school year to totally renovate and refurbish our entire softball complex. A year ago, our facility had numerous issues. The outfield, foul line, and backstop fences were in horrible shape. We had serious slope/elevation/drainage problems. The infield dirt playing surface was very poor (and unsafe). Our grass was in need of an overhaul. The sprinkler system was in need of new heads and an overall re-do. He also designed and led us through the process of constructing a new double-wide batting cage. What was a year ago an eyesore facility “Fig” has fixed for us and is now the envy of small schools in East Texas. Being a former coach who has been “in the arena,” I highly recommend “Fields In Grass” for your athletic field needs."
