Cecil ‘Fig’ Newton graduated from SFAU where he played college football and earned his teaching certification.
He has coached baseball and football for over 25 plus years. During that time he has gained extensive knowledge of turf grass management and the art of making playing surfaces their very best.
He has the hands on perspective of a coach and all that is involved in making your fields safe, playable and looking great. He understands the budgeting process and the limited funds that coaches have to work with and still finds a way to make your fields the best they can be.
He truly has a passion for what he does.
After a 4 year stint in Directional Drilling, Donnie Meister has returned to the Turfgrass industry, where he spent 14 years as a Golf Course Superintendent. Donnie is a licensed applicator and irrigator.
With a degree in Golf Course Management and years of experience, he brings his passion of Turfgrass Management to Sports Fields, Golf Courses and Commercial Grounds.
Steve Hutchison “The God Father of Athletic Field Construction” as I call him, has built over 300 artificial turf football fields and constructed over 42 golf courses. His experience is unquestionable when it comes to constructing athletic fields.
His first football field was Lambeau Field in 1997. He has built football fields for several NFL teams, NCAA, and high school.
His experience is unquestionable when it comes to building artificial turf fields and turf grass fields.
He has worked for several engineering and architectural firms across the country in the planning and designing of athletic fields. He has worked for several NCAA colleges as a consultant.
He truly is “The God Father of Athletic Field Construction”.
